Are you a certified coach?I have obtained Certificates of Completion granted through the CPD Standards Office related to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) that have "certified" me as an expert in those areas as it indicates that I have completed additional training programs or courses that meets specific standards. While the certifications of completion from the CPD Standards Office demonstrate that I have engaged in professional development activities that meet their quality criteria, it's important to distinguish this from being "certified" in the context of professional qualifications or occupational licensure. Being "certified" in this sense usually implies that an individual has met all the requirements set by a professional or regulatory body, which may include completing a specific course of study, passing exams, and maintaining ongoing professional development. This kind of certification often grants the individual a title or credential that is recognized in their profession. The Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which is one of the professional regulatory bodies for coaches, requires a minimum of 60 hours of education and 100 hours of coaching experience. I am currently enrolled in an accredited program that will give me the education hours needed to obtain this certification. Once I have met both the education and coaching experience requirements, I intend on applying for the certification.
